Introduction

Thank you for choosing Gravity. Because this app is designed to help you manage your personal relationships, privacy is our absolute top priority. We are committed to protecting your personal information and ensuring your data remains entirely yours.

Information Collection

Gravity is built on a strict "local-first" architecture. The app helps you visualize and nurture your relationships directly on your device. We do not collect, store, or sell any of your personal relationship data. The only data we keep on our secure servers is your anonymous User ID and your subscription status (Basic or Premium) to manage access to features. We intentionally do not store your name or email address in our database.

Permissions

Gravity requires certain device permissions to function as intended:

• Contacts access: To allow you to select and import the people you want to add to your orbit.
• Notifications: To send you gentle daily reminders to touch base with your focus contacts.
• Google Drive (optional): To create secure, encrypted backups of your universe.

Data Storage & Encryption

All your personal data - including your contacts, notes, relationship summaries, and interaction history - is heavily encrypted (using AES-GCM standards) and stored locally on your device.

If you choose to enable the Cloud Backup feature, your encrypted data (including your contacts, notes, relationship summaries, and interaction history) is saved directly to a hidden, private folder within your own personal Google Drive. We do not have access to your device storage, your encryption keys, or your Google Drive.

Smart Features

Gravity provides AI-generated conversation starters to help break the ice. These conversation starters are completely generic. We do not use any of your personal data, notes, or contact names when generating conversation starters. Your personal relationship context remains entirely on your device.

Third-Party Services

Gravity is self-contained except for Firebase (used solely for secure login authentication and subscription management) and Google Drive (used for your private backups). We do not integrate with tracking or advertising networks.

Children's Privacy

Gravity is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not collect any personal information from children.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
